One day, while the Cutie Mark Crusaders were trying to find their very own cutie marks, they accidentally stumbled into the Everfree Forest. There they found three oddly shaped fruits, with swirly patterns all over them. Naturally, they took the fruits to the one pony, or rather zebra, who knew most about things outside Ponyville.
Zecora needed but one look at the "fruits" to know what they were: Devil Fruits! Looking through a book she had on the subject, she informed them of how the fruits could gift extraordinary abilities to whoever consumed them, although it's impossible to know what kind of abilities until you chow them down.
"But remember, this gift comes with a terrible cost,
Your ability to swim will forever be lost!"
But as Zecora turned back to face the three fillys, the fruits were gone, and only the three little ponies with crumbs around their mouths remained, looking rather shocked.
"What was that you said about swimming?" Applebloomsaid with an uneasy voice. But before Zecora could answer, the three ponies started to glow, and suddenly a bright flash bathed the hut in light. As the light faded, something had changed. The three "blank flanks" were blank no more.
"Would'ya look at that!", Applebloom exclaimed. "We finally got our Cutie marks!!"
But they soon found out they got more than mere Cutie marks. They each found out they had gained powers far beyond normal ponies, being able to control, manipulate and even transform into various elements of nature!
Sweetie Bell had gained control of ice, Scootaloo could control lava and magma, and Applebloom... Applebloom found herself being able to control light itself!
That was then. Now, our three ponies serve as leaders of the Equestrian army, second only to Princess Celestia herself.

Hahah, so, yeah, I finally got the time to mix two of my favourite franchises: One Piece and Ponies. Hope y'all like.

"lava and magma" …THOSE ARE THE EXACT SAME DAMNED THING! JUST ONE IS ABOVE AND ONE IS UNDERGROUND! ITS THE SAME THING! MOLTEN ROCK! And when I think about wouldn't that be a lame power? you need ROCK in order for your powers to work...Sweetie can just freeze the water particles in the air...and the power of "light" BOY THAT'S VAGUE! Is that like any sort of light or just sunlight,and if it IS sunlight...isn't she in theory throwing radiation at everything? So essentially death by burning cancer...wow...that got dark quickly. P:
Still Scoots still kinda got the shaft here,I mean you have control over JUST lava and magma, redundant, means just that, molten rocks...not even fire in general or anything... :/

I know nothing of One Piece so I based this comment of what just comes to mind when thinking of these powers in general...

In One Piece, those with the power of a "Logia" Devil Fruit (i.e. as in any form of element, like fire, ice, lava, sand, etc; One Piece is pretty liberal with what it considers "elemental powers") can not only control their element, but also create it.

Watch this (a vid of the characters who's power Scoots is based of) and then we'll see if you still think she pulled the shortest straw

Also, the power of "Light" is essentially being able to shoot lasers everywhere and moving/teleporting at the speed of light, and it's one of the most overpowered Devil Fruits in the series (FYI, all of these powers are originally used by "villians" in One Piece).

Ok...so still compared to the other powers...YEAH she STILL got the shaft on that one...and the amount of friendly fire involved...how many of her own units would she kill compared to the enemy actually killing her units, using those abilities. I would rather have the power of generic fire compared to molten rock...just so many disadvantages...cant use it indoors effectively unless you're planning and just blowing EVERYTHING up...long range mortar...almost any element could do that...though better (wind,lightening,earth,water...). Though injecting a guy full of lava has to not only be the most BRUTAL way to kill someone,but also the most satisfying...P:
